Healed!

I have friends and readers of different faiths and religious backgrounds and I love it. They make me think and keep me on my toes when it comes to my own faith. Some of you may disagree with what I'm going to share below and think it was a fluke or a doctor's error but I know without a doubt that God has restored my health!

For a very long time I thought God had only healed people in Bible times. I knew the stories of His miracles but those were so long ago, that it didn't matter to me. I prayed for people who were sick and hoped they would get better but didn't really believe it would happen.

As I grew in my faith and started learning more, I saw evidence of God's healing around me. A girl confined to a wheel chair now walks, a lady diagnosed with terminal cancer is 100%, an inoperable brain tumor was gone. So when I was diagnosed with mild to moderate aortic stenosis, Hubby and I had Pastor Keith pray over me for complete healing. We began searching the Bible for verses that promised healing and claimed them for my life. Those miracles became personal, Jesus healed the blind man, he would heal me!!

Last Tuesday (12/2/08) I went to the cardiologist. He heard a heart murmur and said it was likely that I had either a bicuspid aortic valve or coarctation of the aorta. He spoke about valve replacements, side effects of the various valves, how it would impact having children and ordered a transesphogeal echocardiogram to get a better look at my aorta and my left ventricle (suspetible to damage from the high blood pressure).Hubby and Pastor Keith again covered me in prayers for healing, as did our friends, RLC staff and my yada yada prayer girls.

Monday morning we headed to Munson for the T.E.E. Hubby and I were calm and had a good time praising God along with the radio on the ride up. I got prepped and my blood pressure was great and so was my pulse. Brent came in and hung out with me for a little bit before I got numbed and sedated. The last thing I remember is thinking "Boy I hope I go to sleep soon, I don't want to be awake through this!" and then waking up in recovery, confirming with Hubby that I was healed (I had some memory loss and asked him this repeatedly). Hubby said that the Doctor came out and said there is NO valve damage, NO coarctation, NO left ventricle damage, NO stenosis and NO murmur. Not only is there nothing wrong, there is no sign that anything was ever wrong! I don't need to see the cardiologist again and only need to maintain my blood pressure meds and low salt/caffiene diet. No exercise restrictions or anything! I have been fully restored!

I can't even begin to express my joy and thanks to the Lord who has healed me! I am again reminded what a wonderful, personal Savior I have!!!

Psalm 103: 1 - 4 With all my heart I praise the LORD, and with all that I am I praise his holy name! With all my heart I praise the LORD! I will never forget how kind he has been. The LORD forgives our sins, heals us when we are sick, and protects us from death. His kindness and love are a crown on our heads.

Psalm 30: 1-3 I will praise you, LORD! You saved me from the grave and kept my enemies from celebrating my death. I prayed to you, LORD God, and you healed me, saving me from death and the grave.
